Q: Is North Cove Waterfront Suites suitable for families?

North Cove is perfect for couples and small adult groups & families.  North Cove have cots and highchairs available for hire and free use of their strollers.

Q: Are pets allowed?

Sorry, no pets are allowed at North Cove Waterfront Suites apartments.

Q: Is North Cove Waterfront Suites Wheelchair friendly?

The grounds and entry was not designed for wheelchairs in mind however we have lifts to all floors from the car park and there is a ramp from the esplanade entrance, the bathrooms are not wheelchair friendly.  If limited use of wheel chair is needed, North Cove may be suitable.  Please inquire prior or at the time of booking.

Q: Is there a secure car-park facility?

The North Cove Waterfront Suites holiday apartments provides a secure under cover car-park. A remote is issued at the time of registration to access the car-park. If you require a second car-park please notify the reception on check in to see if space is available.  There is no extra charge for parking.

Q: Is there a restaurant at the North Cove Waterfront Suites?

While North Cove Waterfront Suites does not have a restaurant, all apartments have been designed to be self catering with microwave, full size oven and hotplate.  There are two BBQs and outdoor dining area by the pool for you use.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not permitted inside apartments, ashtrays are provided on your balconies and by the BBQ. We ask you to refrain from smoking if people are dining. (balcony doors must be kept close to prevent smoke entering the building)

Q: Are there barbecue facilities?

We have two complimentary BBQs, one by the pool with  comfortable outdoor furniture for alfresco dining and the other on the garden side.

Q: How big is your pool & spa?

We have a 20 mtr pool, shallow end at 1.2 m and the deep end 1.8m, the spa would sit 8 persons.  The pool & spa is not heated. The spa is not a hot tub, just bubble jets.

Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it?

The Esplanade & beach is across the road, however the Cairns beach is not suitable for swimming. The town has provided a wonderful 1000 person capacity lagoon for visitors and locals for free.  The Northern Beaches have patrolled beach areas for swimming.

Q: Which languages are spoken at the reception?

English & Vietnamese

Q: Does reception accept credit cards?

Yes, we can take payments securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, eftpos or credit (VISA & Mastercard)

Q: Is there a DVD player in the lodge?

Some of the apartments include a DVD player, if not you can hire a DVD player & DVD movies from reception.

Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in my apartment?

Guests have access to WiFi (wireless access) free or charge during their stay.

Q: Do you supply a variety of bedding?

All Linen, pillows, sheets and blankets are provided as part of your accommodation price.  There is a variety of bedding combinations, some apartments can have all singles, when inquiring or booking, please advise as soon as possible to assist in the allocation of the correct apartment (subject to availability) and to notify housekeeping .  The extra persons will have a foldaway.

Q: Do you supply pool towels?

Pool towels are available from reception for hire @ $2.50 per towel for the duration of your stay.  Please note, any un-returned  pool towels will be charged to your account.

Q: Are there TV’s in the apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?

Yes, all apartments now have LCD televisions available. Local networks and the Foxtel movie and sports channels are complimentary, there are no On-Demand videos via the the TV.  There are no TV’s in bedrooms.

Q: Does each apartment have a telephone that can dial directly outside?

All apartments are equipped with a telephone, dial 9 for reception and ’0′ first to make an external call.  All external calls are automatically charged to your room account and are payable prior to or on departure.

Q: What kind of air conditioners do you use?

Our air conditioners are  split systems.  Air conditioners are located in the main living area and each bedroom of your lodge.  All doors and windows must be closed for the air conditioners to work effectively.  All air-conditioners are set between 23-25 degrees to keep with green energy.  All apartments are have ceiling fans, the apartments  have good window and ventilation so you can catch the sea or mountain breezes.

Q: Do the apartments have a balcony?

All the apartments either have a private balcony or courtyard.  Please see our apartment descriptions for details.

Q: Do you have a daily service?

No, but we provide a linen change every 7th day (6 sleeps) – This will be averaged out for your stay. On arrival you have been provided with tea, coffee, sugar, milk,  dishwashing liquid, dishwasher liquid/powder, dish cloth, toilet paper & spare for each toilet, conditioning shampoo, soap, tissue in each bathroom, laundry liquid.  If items are depleted during your stay, you can purchase more from reception or local supermarkets.  If you require to have daily servicing  (as you would get in a motel) we can provide this for an additional fee.

Q: What is provided in the apartments?

Linen, blankets, all your crockery and cutlery, saucepans, rice cooker, dishwasher, microwave, full size oven and glass hot plate, full size refrigerator, ironing board and iron, broom, dustpan, mop & bucket, vacuum,  automatic washing machine and dryer (except kitchenette), laundry trough. LCD TV, air conditioning, ceiling fans to all rooms, phone, WIFI access.  Hair dryer in each apartment, outdoor setting on balcony.

Q: Do you have a restaurant?

While the North Cove Waterfront Suites does not have a restaurant, all apartments have been designed to be self catering with microwave, full size oven and hotplate.  There are two BBQ and outdoor dining areas by the pool & garden for your use.

Q: Is there room service available?

There is an order in menu in your apartment, bringing to you from some of the finest restaurants around town. (usually located on the fridge)

Q: Is breakfast included in the price?

No, all apartments are self-contained, meaning you cater for yourself, by cooking or eating out.

Q: What time should I arrive at your holiday apartments / reception ?

Check-in time is from 2pm, please make arrangements with reception if arriving earlier or out of office hours as North Cove Waterfront Suites is a secured complex you will need information regarding the night safe or gate codes.

Q: Where is your reception?

Our reception is located at the back of the building on Lake Street –  still well signed.

Q: What is your reception hours?

Monday to Friday 8am to 12 noon (lunch) 2pm to 6pm.
Saturday & Sunday 8:30am to 12 noon
Public Holidays – may be closed, plenty of notification given.

Q: When is the departure time?

Check-out from your room is 10am.

Q: Can I store luggage with you?

We don’t have a facility for storage however we are happy to hold your luggage for you if picked up again within office hours on the day of your departure.
